When it comes to your skin, maintaining a nightly skincare routine is crucial. And while there isn’t a one-size-fits-all routine, there is a foundational regimen that everyone should have in place.

Following these simple steps, you can ease into a nighttime routine that doesn’t take hours and your skin will love you for it.

Step 1: Makeup Removal

Sleeping in your makeup is a cardinal skincare sin, and usually, a cleanser isn’t enough to remove everything. A simple and gentle way to take makeup off is to use micellar water. You’ll love the hydration benefits. Yet unlike regular water, you don’t have to wash it off.

It’s for this reason, we love and recommend our Lavender Miceller Water.

Step 2: Cleanse

No matter your skin type, a gentle cleanser, like our lovely Lemon Cream Cleanser, won’t strip your skin of natural oil and disrupt your skin’s microbiome.

Step 3: Toner or Hydrosol

Toner is probably the most divisive of all skincare steps: People either swear by it, or they think it’s totally useless. I say it is great when you are treating an issue like pigmentation, acne or sensitivity.

Our Kojic Acid Illuminating Tonic is the prefect item to add to your daily regiment if you are are looking for clarifying with brightening power.

If you are looking a simple fresh approach, our Rose Hydrosol smells just like a new rose garden and brings a sense of well-being and peace to your thoughts.

Step 4: Treatment

This step is where you can customize the routine tailored to your skin concerns. Now would be the time to use a retinoid or A.H.A if your skin isn’t too sensitive. You could also try a brightening serum or hydrating serum, depending on the needs of your skin.

Step 5: Eye Cream

Eye creams aren’t totally bogus! They’re beneficial because they provide the thin skin around your eyes with a targeted treatment. Our Bye Bye Baggage Eye Serum is packed with peptides, which are super hydrating.

Step 6: Moisturize

We recommend a “skin barrier–repairing moisturizer to help rejuvenate the health of the skin and restore fatty acids.” In other words, it’s important to choose something hydrating that won’t clog your pores. We’re fans of products that contain hyaluronic acid because it helps your skin retain moisture.

And don’t stop there. Continue on with moisturizing your lips neck, chest, and hands!
